IMPORTANT
Please contact us first for a return authorization to insure prompt service. Units returned without an RA number will not be accepted by our receiving department.
PARTS REPLACEMENT
If you are returning a part for a no charge replacement, either your warranty registration card must be on record or proof of purchase via dated receipt is required. If the above is not supplied, the warranty period will be assumed to start on the day manufactured. The defective part must be returned to Kalglo transportation prepaid. Kalglo will make the necessary replacement under the terms and conditions of the warranty.
Additional information required on a part returned for a no-charge replacement under the terms and conditions of the warranty is as follows:
1. Model number and serial number of unit.
2. Part number and description of part as given on the parts list.
3. Describe as completely as possible the nature of the defect
or reason for requiring replacement.
REPAIR SERVICE
In the event you do not wish to make the repairs locally, you may return the defective unit directly to Kalglo, transportation prepaid. Please enclose a note describing the problem.
Our service department will normally have the repaired unit shipped to you within five working days after receiving it. A report will be issued indicating the probable cause of failure.
For out-of-warranty units repaired, there is a minimum labor and handling fee. Charges for parts replaced are additional to the minimum fee. Returns will normally require payment before shipment using MC/VISA or by sending a check or money order if you do not have a current reseller’s open-account with Kalglo.
For in-warranty repairs, there is no charge for labor or parts if the unit complies with the terms and conditions of the warranty, in the judgement of Kalglo, and provided the warranty card is on file, or a proof of purchase receipt and date is provided with the returned unit. If terms and conditions of the warranty are violated, there will be a charge for labor and parts.
Unit requiring extensive corrections or rewiring will incur additional labor charges, plus parts. An advance estimate will be issued only upon request.
PLEASE NOTE: Minimum labor and handling fees and service charges are subject to revision from time-to-time. Therefore, if you received your repair estimate more than 30 days from the date you decide to return the unit, please call and re-confirm the quotation before returning the unit for repair.
IMPORTANT
In the past, our service department has received products returned for repair which were completely coated with dust, dirt, and animal fecal matter. Some had cobwebs with live spiders waiting to surprise us, and one controller even contained a dead rat. Before returning units for repair to Kalglo, please ensure that they are relatively clean and free of all live and dead things.
PLEASE NOTE: We reserve the right to refuse to service units which are in an extremely unclean or unsanitary condition.
TYPICAL LIMITED WARRANTY
Kalglo Manufacturing, Inc. warrants that it will repair or replace, at Kalglo’s discretion, any defective or malfunctioning product as follows:
WITHIN 1-YEAR FROM DATE OF PURCHASE shown on the specific warranty card, which is packed with each product, Kalglo will replace or repair any defective parts provided that the unit is received in our factory (transportation prepaid) within the specified time limit.
LIMITATION: This warranty covers only REPAIRS made necessary due to defects in materials and workmanship.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY to damages to the unit due to:
1. Shipping or handling damage.
2. Improper wiring or installation.
3. Physical alterations to the units.
4. Electrical faults in wiring attached to the units.
5. Misuse, abuse, accident, or overloads exceeding
the maximum rating.
This is the only express warranty made for this product and Kalglo is NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS
It is advisable to retain the original shipping carton for at least one of each model unit plus the inserts should re-shipment be required for service or any other purpose. The cartons may be collapsed for storage in as small a space as possible.
When sending a unit in for service or repair, please tighten all terminal screws prior to packing.
IF THE UNIT HAS INTERNAL BATTERIES, REMOVE THE FUSE(S) AND PLACE THEM SEPARATELY IN THE CARTON WITH THE UNITS. REMOVING THE FUSES PREVENTS ACCIDENTAL BATTERY DISCHARGE AND/OR DAMAGE SHOULD THE UNIT GET JARRED AND/OR THE POWER SWITCH ACCIDENTALLY BECOMES ACTIVATED.
Units returned to Kalglo with the fuses(s) in place and the battery depleted will not be covered by the warranty should replacement of the battery be required.
Attach a tag, note, or correspondence with your complete name, shipping address telephone number, and a brief description of the problem experienced. Pack the unit very carefully, preferably in the original carton with original inserts. If this is not possible, use an oversized carton with plenty of packing material so the unit cannot move around. Attach “FRAGILE” labels or write “HANDLE WITH CARE” on the sides of the carton.
